Hiking: National Park Monument Stone, Lierne National Park

In Lierne National Park there is a national park monument stone, erected to
commemorate when HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit opened the park in 2006. The hike to the monument stone starts at Øvre Jakthytta – the gateway to the national park. There is a small hut, campfire area and an informational sign here. Start your trip here, follow signs and markings. The
hiking trail to the monument takes you into the park, along a signposted trail, approx. 3 km one way. Please note: Reindeer in the area. Respect plant life and wildlife both inside and outside the national park.

Directions: From E6, drive eastwards on Fv74 towards Gäddede. Turn right at Muru by the brown sign to Lierne (national park). Continue on the toll road to Øvre Jakthytta, pay fee by SMS or cash.
